The Pocono Mountains are one of Pennsylvania’s top tourist attractions featuring beautiful mountains and rivers for hiking, biking and river adventures abound for the whole family. Mt. Gilead takes full advantage of these resources for both our summer camp and retreat programs. Campers and rental groups at Mt. Gilead can enjoy guided canoe trips on the Delaware river, white water rafting on the Lehigh River and hiking in Big Pocono State Park which borders our 175 acre camp property.

Mt. Gilead is located on the back side of Camelback Ski Mountain, one of Pennsylvania’s largest and most highly rated ski facilities. Groups who rent Mt. Gilead as a retreat location during the winter have the ability to utilize our close proximity to Camelback for ski retreats. In the summer, Camelback transforms to Camelbeach water park. Camelbeach has 16 different water park features for all ages and offers group discounts and day or weekend passes.

If outdoor adventure isn’t your thing, The Crossings Premium Outlets are located within 10 minutes of Mt. Gilead Camp and Conference Center. With over 100 outlet stores in one location, the Crossings premium outlets are a great place to visit with your family or group.
